We all strive to work well with others and to make our teams successful.  Therefore, it is very beneficial to learn not only about our individual strengths but the strengths of our team members as well so that we can better engage with them and drive toward greater performance on our projects. During this session, we will explore three specific tools that will help us better understand our teams and build stronger team dynamics and better collaboration among team members: 1) CliftonStrengths Finder, 2) Lencioni's Working Genius, and 3) Customer Leadership Survey.

This month, we have a panel of experts discussing the impact of cybersecurity in our projects. Just as project managers were at the forefront of talking about adding organizational change and risk plans and such into project work – we have the opportunity to lead our projects to safer paths through increased cybersecurity planning. We are taking some small bites into this topic by considering what we need to know about risks, how do we strongly encourage good planning, and who are the experts to look for as SMEs?

We use checklists to keep track of our todos, grocery items, and other miscellaneous items in our lives. But checklists are also used in life-and-death situations like surgery, military deployments, and spaceflight! How do you make a practical checklist in these situations? What must be included, and what can be left off? How do you make a checklist that humans can and will use? When is a checklist appropriate? These are the topics that we will explore in this session.

This book choice is meant to inspire the readers in our group and encourage those who have a hard time picking up a book without incentive (BONUS – you will get two Power Skills PDUs in addition to the credit for reading). This session will cover the first 168 pages of the book in one of our discussion-prompt style sessions.
